Minecraft

Minecraft is my favourite computer game. In Minecraft you can build lots of things. There are lots of kinds of blocks you can use to build like jungle wood, diamond, and green wool. I would guess there are at least one hundred different blocks you can use in Minecraft. The blocks I use for houses most are wood planks and bricks. To place blocks, right click on top of another block. To get rid of blocks, left click on the block you want to destroy. Things like glowstone can be used as a decoration. Glowstone glows.

In Minecraft there are lots of mobs (monsters). Herobrine is one of the mobs. He haunts people. If you see him he will attack you. If you attack him he will blow your things up with TNT. He looks like a normal Minecraft person, but he has white eyes. He can also spawn zombies (another type of mob) in front of you. The most common, and easiest to defeat, mobs are zombies. You can kill them with almost anything. Another mob is a creeper. If you get too close to a creeper it will explode destroying the blocks around it, and you unless you get away fast! There are lots of mobs, but the A.J. Eagle does not have enough room to hold them all!
In Minecraft you can make your own things using a method called crafting. For instance, go to your crafting table and put a bowl in the middle of the bottom row. Then put a mushroom above it and you will get mushroom stew. You can make things like anvils and you can also dye a bunch of colours of wool. I love Minecraft!

Sierra’s Comments

Sierra my sister has started to leave comments. I have written her back on one of the two comments. So far she has left comments on Happy Snowmen and Let it Snow. Both those posts are on the class blog. http://mrswatson.ca/ <-<-<-There was a link to the class blog if you would like to check out some of Sierra's comments. I love my sister.

Campbell River Swimming Pool

The Campbell River swimming pool is right near the skating rink. The pool has a gigantic tube water slide that twists right outside! You end up in a green tub with water foaming all around you.

Sometimes, if you are in the right place, jets of water will rocket themselves over you and land in the pool with a splash on the other side. Of course, you are not always lucky enough to catch a glimpse of this.

Almost better than that is when you can relax and swim in the warm, shimmering water.

In the shallow area of the pool spurts of water shoot up and for a moment, they almost spiral. After that beautiful moment is over, they gently fall into the pool, leaving only the faintest ripple.

Or you could skim the water like a torpedo after you have launched yourself off the wall of the pool with speed.

Skating

Like a month ago in Campbell River I went skating at the skating rink near the swimming pool. First I held on to a cone then I skated by myself.

First Sierra (my sister) held on to mom and daddy’s hands then she skated hoding onto the back of a toy car.

The rink my family was in was slightly smaller than the other. Ours had blue spotlights dancing across most of the rink. There were benches and Christmas decorations all along the outside edge of the rink.

Me, Sierra and daddy wore hockey skates because daddy said they were easier to skate with. It was like a normal shoe with a blade on it.

Mommy wore figure skates. The figure skates had a high heel blade and daddy said that they had a hook at the toe of the skate.

When it was time to leave I did not want to go because I thought I was skating really fast and really well. I had fun.
