Chapter 24: The Fartkitecture Problem

Coe, Sae, Framata, and Ladaria did not know where to go. Ladaria said,”I guess we have to turn back to Dadan Sae.”
“Yay!” Screamed Sae.
Coe said, “But we just got here, and this book says that Alaentu’s architecture is amazing.”
“No time for Fartkitecture Coe,” Said Ladaria. “And Besides, it sounds gross, fart is in the name.”
“Not fartkitecture, architecture,” Laughed Coe. A rumbling came from inside Alaentu’s walls
“It sounds like the fartkitecture is falling down,” said Framata.
“Don’t mock me, I didn’t know,” Said Ladaria grumpily.
“Yes you did,” Teased Sae.
“Well I’m not leaving until I see the buildings,” Said Coe, and she marched to the gates and said,
“I am going through.” The guard merte went all moony-eyed and said,
“Of course.” The merte opened the gate and let Coe go through.

Chapter 23: The Gates

Tiefadi, Ladaria, Coe, Sae, and Framata were on a boat to Alaentu, sitting in their little cabin they all shared. It was a half day journey. Their cabin was an empty room. Coe had found a tattered book on the deck and was reading it aloud to Framata, Sae was having a tickle fight with Tiefadi, and Ladaria had her head poking out the window because she was seasick.
“I hope this is over soon,” Groaned Ladaria. Just as she said that a man in the hallway said,
“We are at Alaentu.” With that Ladaria bounded out the door and left the others to catch up.

When they attempted to leave the boat a merte’s arm halted them.
“Hey Curly,” The Merte said to Tiefadi. “You’re coming with me,” and with that he grabbed Tiefadi roughly and shoved her into a sitting position. “You can go now, girls. Curlytop won’t be seeing you any more though,” and then Ladaria and Framata ran, with Sae and Coe trailing behind. There was a giant gate stopping them from getting into Alaentu. A Merte stopped them and said,”I am sorry but no one may enter Alaentu.”

Chapter 22: Empty

The city of Fseacia was empty. Groups of merte patrolled the area. Lord Nefarious’s work had finally paid off. Lord Nefarious yelled,”Search the city! Murder any who refuses to leave! Fseacia shall be renamed Nefariousville!” That day, from the tallest tower in Nefariousville, a black and red flag replaced the blue flag of Fseacia.
Lord Nefarious walked towards the desolated palace, and down to the castle dungeouns. There, a whimpering girl lay in a cell, and her name was Brigora Dewleaf.
“Hello Brigora,” said Lord Nefarious sweetly. Then Brigora said bravely,”These handcuffs are very cumbersome, is there any chance I could take them off?”
“Never!!!” Screeched Lord Nefarious. And with that he strode away.
